Grained Leather Loafers by Septieme Largeur

Good ‘ol grained leather. I knew that it was about to start showing itself more and more and it looks as if Septieme Larguer is ahead of the game as per usual. It is quite impressive how many models they manage to churn out each year, always leaving the rest of us in their dust on the innovative side of things. I too wanted to do a grained loafer, but will now probably wait until next year. That being, these two are simply lovely. I have always been a fan of their Miro model (above) and one cannot go wrong with a classic tassel loafer. And the best thing about grained leather is that it is bulletproof. You can beat it up so much and not matter what it still looks good. Its only downfall being that it is slightly more casual than your average calfskin which means that it is not always acceptable for business attire, but I guess that also depends on where you live and what job you are in, as certain countries/job sectors are more lenient in their dress codes. Either way, these are both lovely and I look forward to seeing more grained leather being used in the industry!

Right now they’re offering a pair of shoe trees with each purchase and they have both loafers on sale, although the dark brown grained ones.

they can make great shoes, but tend to focus on their not so great shoes that have a higher profit margin and a low pricepoint….i hope that helps explain
