Axel Arigato – Trainer Extraordinaire

I have recently started getting back into trainers. Guess I am going through my mid-life crisis at 31. Better sooner than later!! Hahaha, but no really. I just acquired 3 colors of the new Puma Suede and I love them. I think the problem is that when I came to England, I had to pretty much get rid of the +100 trainers that I used to have and have been wearing dress shoes ever since. […]

Laszlo Vass Trunk Show London – Nov. 4th

VASS IS COMING TO LONDON!!!! So get prepared as it is something quite novel and exciting at the same time. I have always loved Vass shoes for their mix of elegance and substantial like nature. the boot above ( as well as the pics below) are a great example of that. It is a one night event, full of not only shoes and men’s clothing/accessories but drinks and food galore. Don’t miss out if you […]

John Lobb A/W2015 Line Up — Very Cool!!

John Lobb’s new A/W collection for this year is quite cool to say the least. It is precisely the type of stuff that I hope to see from the big brands i.e. two tones and a lot of mixing of leather/suede. The two toned nature is quite subtle though, having most of the combination of suede/leather being tonal but due to the difference in texture between the two sides of the hide, you get a […]

The Proper Kit Pop Up NYC – Nov. 7th

On November 7th, 2015, Style Forum and A & H Magazine have teamed up to form a super trunk show of sorts in the Manhattan area (precisely at the address on the image above). Apart of the incredible line up of menswear brands are 3 shoe brands: J.FitzPatrick Footwear (yours truly), Carmina Shoemaker and Cobbler Union. Funny enough, 3 brands whose shoes are all made in Spain!! “Made in Spain” is the new trend, watch […]

Scarpe di Bianco New Collection & Website

Scarpe di Bianco has just launched not only a new range of shoes but also a new, updated website. The new range is a typical North American trend in fusing the idea of comfort and dress shoes by the addition of flexibility and rubber soles. It is definitely a cultural thing, but also simply a personal preference as I am American but prefer leather soled shoes. But then again, the brands that add rubber […]

Remember: Leather Creases….Plain and Simple

This is just a reminder that to all of the newbies out there that think leather creasing means lack of quality, well you are mistaken. In fact, as I have said before, it is usually the highest quality leather and the one that fits you best that actually creases the most. Don’t ask me why as I don’t have the exact answer, but it just is. Just take this shoe for example. It is […]

Timberland x Harris Tweed

I was walking on Regent st. today and noticed that the Timberland shop had some interesting shoes/boots inside. I am actually in the market for something a bit more heavy duty as I feel that it will be a harsh winter and while I love my Snoqualmie’s for a solid boot, I would rather use something that is actually fur lined and built to handle the snow (on a submerging level). So I went […]

Patterns – Like for Like by Herring

Herring Shoes have been doing a lot of interesting things these days, particularly in two tones and with the use of cloth. And a blogger that they have teamed up with has done a great job at showing off the product in a fashion that truly allows you to appreciate the combinations that they are coming up with. All too often website photos don’t do the justice that a shoe deserves and this is where […]

Dandy Shoe Care Goes Above & Beyond!!

Alexander Nurulaeff of Dandy Shoe Care has gone above and beyond with his latest patina. It was a special gift to present at Kevin Seah’s (tailor in Singapore) 6th Anniversary party. Fitting for a tailor was the request of making a patina in the style of a windowpane tweed cloth. And damn did Alexander do a breathtaking job on fulfilling that unlikely and difficult request. My only fear now, is that after seeing this […]
