I have written about this before but as it always impresses me when I see it I cant help but re-mention the greatness of the patina’d grain leather by Norman Vilalta, found exclusively at Leffot of NYC. Its one of the hardest leathers to work with due to the embossed stamp of the leather and thus a lack of pores. But Norman manages to still get not only an amazing array of colors but also the blending of two shades, and incredibly on-point. If you are in NYC and still havent seen Norman’s shoes, get down to the West Village where you can see not only those but also Hiro Yanagimachi live in action!
A great weekend to all!
