New Models by Gaziano & Girling

Gaziano & Girling

In the past few years Gaziano & Girling have been really busy with the new shop of theirs in London, growing the brand on a global scale and thus not having time for a lot of design work, but I think that in 2016 you will start to see a lot of new stuff coming out. These 4 new shoes (2 of which are new models and 2 of which are new colorways to existing models) are just the tip of the iceberg. I have seen other stuff in the pipeline, that I am not yet allowed to speak on, that I am sure will peak many of your interest. But let’s save that for later and concentrate on what we have here.

My personal favorites are the chukka boot with a strap and the wholecut oxford with adelaide detail. I always loved the bespoke version of the Balfour and it is great to see them offering now as a model for MTO. And I love the blue alligator on the Oakham. My only critique is that G&G is always putting shoes on their TG73 last, which is my least favorite last of theirs. I am glad that they did the chukka on the DG70 (my personal favorite) as I think it really suits the chukka model. And while the Oakham and Balfour look acceptable on the TG73, I don’t think a chisel toe (MH71 I believe) suits the Uppingham model. DG70 would have been better. But hey, those are just my opinions. I am sure that Tony knows best for his own brand.

While they are not yet readily available for purchase online, you can order these via MTO with any of your closest G&G stockists or directly with G&G themselves at sales@gazianogirling.com

I didn’t realize how much I needed a single monk Chukka. Until now.

Lovely shoes. I don’t suppose you know if they are doing another sample sale with yourself this year? Many thanks.
