Scarpe di Bianco at Pitti Uomo 89

My last and final post about Pitti Uomo 89 is all about Scarpe di Bianco shoes, who make a fantastic piece of footwear that are always impressing me with their new models season after season. I was particularly fond of the red u-cap adelaide brogue (as highlighted) as well as the two-toned brown shoe with burnishing and adelaide with raised wingcap and heel counter design (both directly below). Every time I see them I am […]

Scarpe di Bianco New Collection & Website

Scarpe di Bianco has just launched not only a new range of shoes but also a new, updated website. The new range is a typical North American trend in fusing the idea of comfort and dress shoes by the addition of flexibility and rubber soles. It is definitely a cultural thing, but also simply a personal preference as I am American but prefer leather soled shoes. But then again, the brands that add rubber […]

New Scarpe di Bianco at Pitti Uomo 87

Another brand that I always enjoy visiting while I am at Pitti Uomo is Scarpe di Bianco. Apart from enjoying a nice catch up with owner William White, I know that I can always count on them to have new interesting and cool models, such as most of these in the pictures. William does exactly what I would love to do if funds were more available and that is to simply make tons and […]

Scarpe di Bianco at Pitti Uomo

I have always liked Scarpe di Bianco as I felt that they created such a great fusion between Italian & British craftmanship and design, not to mention that their shoes are of exceptional quality (see review here). It always makes me wonder how some brands will just take off in the blogosphere/industry and become the next biggest thing, while others of the same caliber won’t. I guess, like trends, it’s simply timing. I do believe […]

Red Pebble Grain by Scarpe di Bianco

You don’t often see red pebble grain. You don’t often see red shoes altogether. What I like about this pebble grain by Scarpe di Bianco though is the fact that it makes the red a lot more subtle and thus wearable. Without that grain in place and just being a plain calfskin, it would be a tough shoe to wear. But having it be a grain, for me, makes it a bit easier to swallow. […]

The Loafer’s Loafer by Scarpe Di Bianco

Back when I used to work for Nordstrom, there used to be this Ferragamo loafer (pictured below) that was pretty much discontinued but that must have been the most popular loafer of the 80’s & 90’s as we always used to get these old boys coming in asking for them and then complaining when we used to tell them that they no longer existed. They looked just like these (as you can see the resemblance […]

Spring/Summer 2013 Scarpe di Bianco Goodness

What I really like about Scarpe di Bianco is the fact that they have new models to drool over each season. Most shoe companies of this level don’t have such frequent new offerings, which makes it so that you have to chose from their ever-current stock, unless that is that they have a brilliant MTO program, which makes it so that you can have a new thing under the sun anytime that you wanted. But […]

Underrated Greats: Scarpe di Bianco

When one thinks of the greats, there is a list that comes to mind that I think is quite standard. But, I feel that as time goes on, that list while staying relatively the same, should have some people added to it. Some of you may remember that a while back I reviewed a Scarpe di Bianco shoe and was thoroughly impressed by the craftsmanship of them. I think that there is almost a trend […]

Scarpe Di Bianco – MTO Creation

So a while back, I wrote about having an MTO of Scarpe di Bianco in the process and just a few weeks back, I finally received them and wanted to share with all of you whom might also be curious in the brand. As a little background info, Scarpe Di Bianco was created by a gentleman who used to work for Sutor Mantellassi but decided to branch off and start his own company. That being, […]

Scarpe Di Bianco – An MTO Process….

A few years back a company named Scarpe Di Bianco came on to the scene, blowing the socks off of anyone who appreciated nice footwear. I remember the first time that I saw them (online) and thought to myself, ‘man, I would love to have all of these!’ Not only do they have an enormous collection, as far as styles go, but also make shoes in every single color that you could think of. A […]
