It’s a new day and age in the retail shoe world, for Leffot has started something that no one else has before and it is quite interesting, to say the least. That being, in the ever-evolving world of retail and the online monster that we call reality, one needs to always stay on top of new ideas to stay afloat as there are always companies out there with great ideas that will make you look like a caveman if you don’t evolve. So Leffot did just that. Now it’s not a new idea per se as this is kind of the concept of eBay, but what it is is a more pinpointed and niche accumulation of brands that are advertised and sold to like-minded purchasers. This greatly helps people looking to purchase specific things and/or get rid of specific things.
We have all been there where we bought something that we end up regretting or did not fit and we could not, nor wanted to pay the shipping to return it, or whatever the story. Sometimes you are just tired of certain shoes. And the problem has always been, getting rid of it somehow to make some of your money back. It’s easy to give to a friend but has always been hard to get at least 25% of your investment back. Now you can do so a bit more easily with Leffot’s PreOwned program.
Set up much like a thrift shop, in way of payment for your goods, Leffot will offer you money or store credit on your old shoes (always getting more for store credit) based on several factors i.e. brand, how old they are, the condition, possibly how easy the size is to sell etc. While it would appear that they are currently focusing on brands that they also currently sell in the shop at full price, I do believe that they will also entertain other brands providing the opportunity of re-selling them is optimistic. So, if you once paid a $1000 for a pair of shoes that has been collecting dust in your closet for the last few years, now is an easy way to get rid of it and maybe make that 25% that is better than a big fat zero.
Whether or not this is an idea that some people might find hurts Leffot’s image as a high-end luxury retail outlet, I think that many people will find this a great opportunity to get something they might have always wanted but could never afford and a way for others to make way in their closet by selling off dust collectors, creating a win-win for many.
Happy Shopping!
