Sartor Polishing – Your London Spruce Up on Crockett & Jones Shoes

One of Crockett & Jones’ employees, Bismark Walter, has taken it upon himself to become a master of the brushes and learn mirror polishing and patina in order to add an extra value service to the Jermyn St. shop of Crockett & Jones in London. He has apparently built quite the reputation and customer following as his Instagram account is filled with beautiful shoes and polish/patina jobs. You can see a couple of them here. […]

Gaziano & Girling – 25% Off End of Line Models

It’s and of an era for many Gaziano & Girling classic models. G&G is going through their end of line Summer Sale and offering some models that I remember since day one, like the Wigmore and Hayes in the Rioja calf. But such is the life of a shoe line. A good model will give you years of sales and then one day you realize you have had it too long and need to refresh […]

Carmina’s Shell Cordovan Chukka Boot MTO in 8 Colors

Carmina has recently done a GMTO run that is apparently over but that went into regular production as you can still purchase the pairs at hand. The latest model is this Horween Shell Cordovan chukka boot in 8 colors. Put on a Dainite sole with storm welt, I can see this boot getting a lot of use in the A/W for most chaps that like chukka boots. Being Cordovan it will be hard-wearing and good […]

How To Sell Used Shoes

The 2nd hand market is booming these days. I imagine that in the heyday of social media and international clothing access at the edge of one’s fingertips, lots of people bought lots of stuff and then one day woke up realizing they didn’t really need most of it. Hence the amount of ‘buy and sell’s’ there are across many platforms and forums. But selling 2nd hand stuff is not so easy for several reasons that […]

What I am Wearing Video Series

I have always wanted to give inspiration to those that may not know how to wear bold shoes or have fears of shoes outside of what they are used to. I won’t claim to have the best style in the world, but I am not afraid to go bold every now and then show it. And I can’t be The Shoe Snob if I am not wearing the shoes that I preach about. So […]

Polo Shirt by Yeossal – The Review

Today, for the first time, I do something different on The Shoe Snob Blog and review a shirt, specifically the new Polo Shirt by Yeossal. I was actually quite surprised when they asked me to review this, as they are not shoes, but am super glad that they did as it has become my absolute favorite shirt in my wardrobe (and truth be told, I have like 50 shirts, so that is saying a lot!). […]

TYE Shoemaker – Most Interesting Brand of Today

Bespoke shoemaker, TYE Shoemaker, out of Japan has been making some very very interesting shoes since coming to light a few years back, thanks to Instagram. The latest are these very intriguing and unique blue suede Crocodile Norwegian welt derbies with a commando gum sole and a bamboo pattern. Damn, that’s a lot going on. Not to mention the braided trimming, just a little touch of detail that TYE likes to commonly through in there. […]
