The Ghillie’s roots date back to the original brogues that Scotsmen used to wear through the highlands to drain out their shoes from all of the water. Now you see a Ghillie and it no longer needs to be a true brogue. It has finally evolved with modern times and because of that, I decided to have a stab at creating my own interpretation of one at my brand J.FitzPatrick Footwear.
Our Leavenworth model is a fresh and exciting addition to our collection of shoes and we feel the popularity of two tones made it an easy choice to pair the Dark Brown Museum Calf and Snuff Suede together. Not your most formal shoe to wear with a suit but an ideal shoe to pair with tapered jeans and chinos to tackle the ‘smart casual’ look! With a closed channel double leather sole, you will find that it is a sturdy yet comfortable model, allowing for a full day on the feet without discomfort.
We hope that you enjoy our take on this classic British model
Sincerely,
Justin FitzPatrick
