I was never a fan of a rugged Chelsea boot. Those ones with overly round, blunt toes, etc. (think RM Williams). I always liked the more sleek and sharp version — think G&G on DG70 last. But Skoaktiebolaget house brand, Löf & Tung, has produced a nice way-between with a casually-smart looking Chelsea on a nice round toe, and storm welt, but with a sleek silhouette. It’s not an easy feat to do in all honesty and I commend them for nailing it.
On top of a solid pattern created, I also quite like the color options. The black calf is quite standard but the color of brown suede is quite unique and very appealing to me. I love a brown suede Chelsea boot and this one ticks all boxes for a sleek, heavy-duty one. I also like their Utah calf which is a unique shade of coffee like hatch grain. I can imagine that one being the top seller, although I would first pull the trigger on the suede ones myself.
This is a solid little collection, one that I am sure will be quite successful. And mainly because the price is so good at €316 for non-EU.
Happy Shopping!
